Does My Face Hurt? 'Cause It's Killing Me.
Mood:  don't ask
Now Playing: Everquest
Topic: Teeth
I just got back from the dentist.

Ouch.

They said my brushing was okay, except it didn't get far enough back, so they need to cap 2 teeth, fill 2, and they also want to do a root canal.

See, this is why I hate going to the dentist. It's not the work they actually do; when my wisdom teeth were removed, I was playing frisbee later that day. I hate going because they look in your mouth, gouge around, tear up your gums with xrays and pointy hooks, abuse your teeth like they were responsible for the hygienist's romantic breakup, and then say "So have you been feeling any pain in your mouth?" (I assume they mean other than in the past half-hour.) And after abusing your entire lower face for that long, they tell you that you'll have to pay them lots of money so they can do it some more, only worse.

Have you played Lords of Everquest* yet? Well, you have, if you've played Warcraft III. 'Nuff sed.

I tried the demo. It's pretty. It's not innovative, it's not brilliant, it's not any more amazing than War 3. In fact, it looks a lot like War 3, only it uses elements taken from the world of Everquest. But the similarities don't stop there. The introduction scenes for War 3 are with the orcs, one of the 'bad guys' of War 3. Then it goes to the good guys for the actual game start. Lords of EQ seems to follow a similar theme, at least with the demo. You start with the Iksar for a quick intro, then go to the 'good guys.' Granted that may have been simply for the demo, but the similarity is more than obvious. Try the demo, though, and decide for yourself. I did, and it was fun. It was so fun, in fact, that I didn't buy it, but I did start re-playing Warcraft III, which was just as good, only cheaper.

P.S.A: Shaking a Polaroid photograph while waiting for it to develop is bad, and may ruin it. Remember this, and consider that Outkast are musicians and lyricists, not photographic engineers, so if they tell you in their song "Hey-Ya" to "shake it like a Polaroid picture," they're just being artistically figurative (or figuratively artistic). It is not a Polaroid picture they want you to shake, anyway.

*Note that this link does not go to the official Lords of Everquest page, but to an unofficial resource page. At the time of this posting, the official LoE page was down. Make of that whatever you wish.
